Rita McMorris – Artist, Jeweler and Visionary Creator.
She was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina. From an early age, her deep love for art and design shaped her creative journey. She began her artistic training as an apprentice in jewelry making, where she mastered traditional techniques such as lost-wax casting, watch and jewelry repair, polishing, diamond cutting, ring making, and wax modeling. Her early experience led to the founding of her own brand, 7 Metalworks, where she continues to blend fine art with craftsmanship creating pieces that reflect her artistic vision, technical mastery, and cultural inspiration. Rita’s favorite mediums include pencil drawing and water color, often influencing the fluid, organic forms seen in her jewelry design, holding a Associates Degree in Art and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, uniting her creative back ground with scientific insight. This combination fuels her philosophy that – “science is art in motion” a belief evident in her intricate metalwork and innovative jewelry design.

Anthony McMorris is a talented watch expert, jewelry technician and co owner of 7 Metalworks, where he brings both artistic skill and business acumen to the brand. As a Business major in college, Anthony combines his knowledge of marketing, management, and entrepreneurship with hands on technical experience to help shape the vision and success of 7 Metalworks. He has mastered several aspects of fine jewelry production, including lost wax casting, precision finishing, and timepiece craftsmanship. His technical expertise extends beyond the bench, as he also oversees the advertising, branding, and marketing strategies that have helped our brand grow into a recognized name in modern jewelry design.
